Patek Philippe 18kt. Gentleman's Watch. Ref. 2407
This stunning 18kt. Patek Philippe is dated to 1953. It comes with original box, papers, receipts, service records, and appraisals. This piece is truly a one of a kind, as to have such a consistently serviced and well maintained timepiece from any era is challenging to find. The timepiece itself remains completely original, with the only slight modification being the engraving on the case-back. The essence of elegance is captured by the cleanliness of the stone-white dial, which is adorned with subtle yellow-gold applied markers. The indices at twelve, three, six, and nine resemble the nearly Art-Deco like segmentation of the lugs. The seconds hand is appropriately displayed in a sub-seconds dial. And while still remaining perfectly visible, it retains its place as the secondary act to the main-show: the hour and minute hand. The hour hand is noticeably shorter than its minute-keeping counterpart, but both stay true to the design language of the case, remaining understated and slender.
