“Abercrombie” 18K Ladies Watch (vw300)

When I first took this one in on trade, I saw the inscription and asked the owner if Lucy Abercrombie was related to the famous Abercrombie and Fitch outdoor retailer and she confirmed this. I then restored the entire piece including hands, movement service, stem and crown, dial and new glass crystal. Not only is this a significant historical piece as Lucy was the daughter of the founder of the retailer, but it is nothing short of a stellar Swiss timepiece that would rival any Patek Philippe or Vacheron. I was not able to positively identify the manufacturer, but I can assure you that the workmanship is first rate and made in the 1920’s.
