Tree Ring Watch
A watch with a purpose, all of the Douglas fir used for production of these pieces is harvested from small trees that are adding unnatural stress to larger old-growth trees in western Montana forests. Each watch has the origin year (the year when the tree used for the dial was a young sapling and started producing growth rings) labelled on the face. The wood dial and Swiss quartz movement are housed in a 43mm stainless steel case with standard lugs and a leather band, with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal topping it all off. Not only are these high-quality time pieces, but they also help a great cause, as the owner and craftsman behind these watches, Dave Wager, puts 5% of all sales towards protecting Montana's old-growth forests.
