Non-Magnetic W. Co. Peoria This is a highly collectable watch and in very fine condition too. The movement was manufactured by the Peoria Watch Company for the Non Magnetic Watch Co. It is a full plate 18 size movement with a white metal, non magnetic balance and hairspring. Movement is marked “Paillard's Patent Balance and Spring”. It is also marked “Adjusted”. Fantastic blued screws set off the nickel finish. The lettering has lost some of it's blackening, but otherwise is quite clean. I'm nearly 100% certain that this watch is in its original case….and what a case it is. 14K multi colored gold and still in very nice condition. The engraving is about 80% or better. The lids open and close well. There are a few dings on the lid that can only be noticed from the inside which is high polished. There's also one ding in the band of the case. The watch is running well, stem wind and lever set. The dial has a couple of light hairlines that could be bleached out. Hands are great and original. Overall a very presentable watch by an elusive company that reputably made about 47,000 and far less for Non Magnetic W. Co. |
